Welcome to Keep it Local (Dorset)

The Keep it Local campaign was set up by Simon Marfell and Gary Hepburn of the Sirius Business Services Ltd Group of companies www.sirius-group.co.uk who believe that the answer to fighting the recession within the local economy is to keep money as far as possible within the local community and local companies. The campaign members believe that whatever type of business you are in, you can support other local businesses within your local community. Whether it be stationery, accountancy, training, insurance, raw materials, vehicles etc etc. there are always local options and they do not necessarily need to be more expensive.

Simon Marfell, Chairman and founder of the Keep it Local campaign commenting on Keep it Local said “local businesses can compete, Stag Office Products has picked up new customers recently who have previously been buying their stationery from a national suppliers such as Lyreco and Viking. They have given us the opportunity to price for their requirements and we saved them money on every item, and some items by ten’s of pounds. This proves that buying from local suppliers can save you money. It also makes sense as it keeps down the carbon footprint, it keeps local businesses going , which keeps jobs and money within the local economy.”
